The Asset View functionality in the Tanium connector allows you to retrieve data for any pre-configured custom views from Tanium's REST APIs that you create, based on your specific needs.

Create a custom view

  1. Log in to your Tanium environment: Tanium server .

  2. In Modules, select Asset and then select Views.

  3. To create a custom view, select Create View.

  4. In the Create View page, do the following:

    1. Enter a Name and Description for your view.

    2. In Select Columns from Asset Tables, select the data that you want to include in your view. It is recommended that you select and add all the columns for Asset, Installed Applications, Logical Disk, Network Adapter, Physical Disk, and Windows Installer.

    3. Optional: Add filters to limit the computers that are included in the view. You can create filters for Asset details, Installed Applications, Logical Disk, Network Adapter, Physical Disk, Windows Installer, or any custom reference attributes that you have added to Asset.
