Snow Inventory Oracle Hardware Scanner

Snow Inventory Oracle Hardware Scanner collects hardware-related data on a particular environment as part of the Oracle verified data solution, see Oracle verified data in Snow License Manager or Oracle verified data tab in SAM Core on Snow Atlas. The data is collected by a Snow Inventory Agent, which saves it to a compressed and encrypted file and sends it to a Snow Inventory endpoint (Snow Extender or Snow Inventory Server). The data is then processed and refined for use in Snow Atlas or Snow License Manager.

The scanner is a Java application, and it is platform-independent, which enables it to run on a variety of operating systems.

This document describes the latest version of Snow Inventory Oracle Hardware Scanner. Some functionality described in this document may work differently or not at all in previous versions.
