License Registration

Snow License Manager version 8 and 9, Snow License Manager modules, and Snow Inventory Server version 5 and 6

Introduction​

This document describes how to register license information for Snow products.

Prerequisites​

Note the following:

  • License keys for all Snow products are distributed by your Sales Representative at Snow.

  • The user performing the license registration must be granted access to the application server.

Change license information​

Snow License Manager​

To change license information for Snow License Manager:

  1. Access the Snow License Manager application server using a remote desktop connection.

  2. Open the Web Configurator.

  3. On the License tab, enter license information in the Company and License Key boxes.

  4. For the changes to take effect, click Activate.

  5. Click Close to exit the Web Configurator.

Snow License Manager modules​

To change license information for Snow products like Software Recognition Service, Oracle Management Option, Software Store Option, and more:

  1. Access the Snow License Manager application server using a remote desktop connection.

  2. Open the Web Configurator.

  3. On the License tab and in the Modules section, click Add.

    The Module dialog box appears.

  4. In the Module dialog box:

    1. Select product from the Module drop-down list.

    2. Enter information in the License Key box

    3. Click OK.

  5. Click Apply.

  6. Click Close.

Snow Inventory Server​

To change license information for Snow Inventory Server:

  1. Access the Snow Inventory application server using a remote desktop connection (RDP).

  2. Open the configuration file for Snow Inventory Server.

    Default file path: C:\Program Files\Snow Software\Snow InventoryServer\snowserver.config

  3. Change the values for CompanyName and LicenseKey.

  4. Save and close the configuration file.

  5. For the changes to take effect, restart the Windows service Snow Inventory Server.
