6.7.3 latest

Release date: 2023-05-11

Enhancements

Password policy setting ignored
(SDM-1015)
If the password policy is not enabled for the domain (via the domain admin tool), the system will use the default password policy (8-16 characters long password, with at least one special character, upper letter, and digit). If the password policy is enabled (for example with this configuration):

Then it is reflected in the set password form in the SMM:

Hide/Show apps uses allowlist if both allow and block is configured
(SDM-1014)
On clicking on the + button (to add to the list) system checks if the inputted value exists in the other list:

Clicking on the Create package button makes a validation to check if there is the value that exists in both lists:

Corrections

(SDM-1018)
This version solves the missing search by appID parameter in order to find the device in the background. This appId value during the enrollments is provided from the iOS app and now allows user to enroll directly within the Snow app.

6.7.2

Release date: 2023-03-02

Enhancements

Embedded Android Zero Touch iframe
(SDM-947)
A new tab is added to the Android Zero Touch service:

Opening it will show a form with two tabs. The first one is the configuration tab:

Configuration JSON field is read-only, and its value is formed from the values of the fields above it. This value is provided as an argument (DPC Extras) into the iFrame:

Note: Configuration takes effect only when linking a new account in the iframe.

Managed configurations iframe for Android Enterprise - Google EMM
(SDM-997)
SMM can manage application configurations with the system-developed form for it (where the field are generated based on the Google Play API application schemas for a particular app), or, via this feature, with a newly added iframe for managing app configurations.

A new button is added in the packages wizard, next to the Add/Edit configuration:

Iframe looks like this:

First, it needs to click on the save button in the iframe, then a notification message pops up in the SDM, and on clicking on the OK button, the configuration is set on the package.

When editing the package, if the managed configuration is set via iframe, then only that button exists:

Otherwise, if the managed configuration is set via the application form, then only that button exists:

Clicking on the reset button will show both buttons.

Manually refresh application list
(SDM-971)
New button - Refresh is added next to the Select and deselect all buttons. Clicking on this button will fetch all applications from all stores and refresh the cache.

Show PIN code expiration date
(SDM-895)
When a new device is created, the PIN code validity expiration date is shown in the Information message:

And, in the device overview details:

Add possibility to set a custom logo in the Kiosk package

Add setting to allow user to configure Bluetooth in Kiosk package
(SDM-972)

Create package for managing Android System Updates
(SDM-967)
A new custom package “System update”, applicable for Android is added:

This package has custom settings (Policy Type):

A device owner can control when updates are installed by setting a local system update policy for a device. The system update policy can be one of three types:

Automatic: Installs system updates as soon as they become available (without user interaction). Setting this policy type immediately installs any pending updates that might be postponed or waiting for a maintenance window.

Windowed: Installs system updates during a daily maintenance window (without user interaction). Set the start and end of the daily maintenance window, as minutes of the day, when creating a new windowed policy.

Postponed: Postpones the installation of system updates for 30 days. After the 30-day period has ended, the system prompts the device user to install the update.

When the selected value for policy type is Windowed, it gives the option to input a begin and an end time window when the update can start:

Package for managing Android System Updates

Extend smart filter with additional properties
(SDM-934)

Fields - criteria are extended to display not only tags but also other fields in the search engine.

For fields with predefined available values, a drop-down list is shown for the values field (tags, statuses, profiles, etc.). For textual fields, a text field is shown for the value input.

Corrections

(SDM-973)
With the 6.7.1.0 version, the newly added fields for choice to send SMS and email on create device action (from the user->secondary actions), in the create device form existed different switches/checkboxes with the same logic:

With this version, the toggle switch field Send text and email is removed. Now it looks like this:

(SDM-977)

The counts in the subgroups table for users and devices now are displaying the total sum of direct users/devices and child sub-groups users/devices. This way, they are matched with the numbers for users/devices displayed in the header tabs.

(SDM-951)
When SDM re-syncs previously synchronized devices via Apple DEP, now the system looks for the default DEP profile for the selected Apple DEP service and sets it for them.

(SDM-993)
Integer validator in managed configuration form, now, allows negative numbers as well. Previously, it threw a validation error for negative integers.

BundleArray-managed properties were not parsed properly and were missing in the device policy.

Note: The fixes are applicable for all managed configurations to all applications.

(SDM-984)
Package properties are for hiding application so if True the app should be hidden. Therefore, on the UI the switch component has to work with reverted values in order to be correct.

Labels for blocked apps are fixed.
