Enhancements

Auto-lock values for Apple passcode pkg extended
Possible values for auto-lock property in Apple passcode package are extended with two more choices - 10 and 15.
MacOS lock PIN required
Lock device command for iOS uses Find My framework to lock a device, and for macOS version 10.8 or later it requires six-character PIN to be entered.
In order for this to work, a new pop-up is displayed when you click on ‘Lock device’ button and device has macOS version 10.8 or later. After you enter the PIN the command is sent and the device will be locked with that PIN. This is a one-time action - device’s screen passcode remains untouched.
For iPhone devices nothing is changed - you can enter optional phone number or message and no PIN is required at all.

Apple platform wi-fi package extended
Wi-fi package for Apple platform was extended with two new properties to configure:
Corrections
Managed configuration parsing
Managed configuration for this application is working if it’s set only via Google iframe. This can be triggered when in application details view:
SDM Manager
Multiple properties of the package have been deprecated. One of them is the blacklistedAppBundleIDs which is why the restriction wasn’t working.
Other properties that are deprecated and replaced with their new implementations are:
- forceWiFiWhitelisting
- whitelistedAppBundleIDs
The flow of creating package and deployment for different platforms has now been changed.
With the new implementation, when user is removing a profile on macOS or iOS device, separate package and deployment is created for targeted platform.
Example of how separated packages and deployments are displayed in SDM Manager:
Password property is now set to be escaped in the package editor.android.xml file and all passwords with special chars as &<> will be escaped so the correct XML payload for deployment is send to devices.
When opening VPP application details the correct tab is selected and correct information is displayed now (no need to switch tabs):
App details are fetched an populated for macOS applications, previously this was done only for iOS apps:
Grid view is extended with new column that tells the platform for the VPP app:
Export button is now enabled for all applications inventory list,
SDM Manager & Server
Method for moving user was not implemented on server side and the changes were not updated in the database at all.
With the implementation now, the user can move specific user (only native) from one group to another and the new path is stored in the database.

5.6.4
Release date: 2018-11-07
New
-
Android client: On April 10, 2018, Google deprecated Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) in favor of Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). Applications using GCM services need to be migrated to Firebase by April 2019, as Google will turn off most of its GCM-related services at that time. To ensure continued service, we have rebuilt messaging in Snow Device Manager to run on FCM services.

Manager: Timeout issues resulting in Volume Purchase Program (VPP) applications not displaying have been resolved so that they now display correctly.
