SaaS connectors
The SaaS connectors for Snow SaaS Management discover subscriptions, users, and user activity from SaaS vendors across your IT estate. The data is presented in the SaaS pages.
SaaS connectors enable collection of data through API integrations toward SaaS vendors, to provide an overview of SaaS usage and subscription utilization within your organization.
Overview
The SaaS connectors discover data on subscriptions, users, and user activity for the applications that the vendor provides. The collected data is consolidated and presented in the SaaS pages. The SaaS connectors are divided into three categories which have the discovery type SaaS connector or SSO.
-
Connectors toward SaaS vendors, for discovery of subscriptions and users, and collection of user activity. These have discovery type SaaS connector.
-
Connectors toward SSO providers, for discovery of applications and users, and collection of user activity, through SSO integrations. These have discovery type SSO.
-
Connector toward Microsoft Entra ID (previously Microsoft Azure Active Directory), for discovery of your organization's users and organizational details. This has discovery type SaaS connector.

Technical description
The SaaS connectors provide API integrations toward SaaS vendors. The connectors make API calls to the vendors using credentials that you create and retrieve in the respective vendor portals, and enter as settings. Data is collected from the vendor APIs through data imports that can either be done automatically on a schedule or manually.
Connector management
Your SaaS connectors are located and managed in Settings, under SaaS settings. All tasks for you to successfully manage your connectors are described in Manage SaaS connectors.
To add connectors, you must first create and retrieve the necessary credentials in the respective vendor portals and enter them as settings. These preparations are described in the information provided for each product-specific connector.
Data imports are scheduled daily by default when you add a connector so that you always have the latest data for your SaaS estate, but you can change the schedule or disable it and manually import data.
Multiple vendor portals or tenants
Each connector you add is a specific connector instance with a unique name and settings. If you have multiple vendor portals (regions) or multiple tenants for the same vendor, you can add multiple connectors with different settings. All collected data is consolidated and presented for each vendor, regardless of how many portals and/or tenants that you have connected to for that vendor.
If you add more than one connector with the same settings, data imports create duplicate data in the system.
