Oracle Management: Reference
Refer to the tables below for field descriptions when you want to view or edit Oracle Management settings in SAM > Settings > SAM Core settings in Snow Atlas.
Oracle data lifecycle and visualization
These settings let you manually or automatically delete Oracle product installations that have not been updated recently and therefore can be considered to be uninstalled. You can also use the settings in this section to manage the amount of data shown in the user interface: you can select to show only options and management packs that are installed or used, instead of showing the complete set.

Number of days until a not updated Oracle database is considered uninstalled | The number of days until an Oracle Database is considered uninstalled, and therefore deleted, if it has not been updated during that time frame. |
Display only installed or used management packs | If this setting is enabled, only Oracle Database Enterprise Edition Management Packs for which inventory data has been collected will be shown in the user interface. |
Display only installed or used enterprise options | If this setting is enabled, only Oracle Database Enterprise Edition Options for which inventory data has been collected will be shown in the user interface. |
Delete Oracle Middleware installations considered to be uninstalled | If this setting is enabled, Oracle Middleware installations will be deleted if they have not been updated during a specified time frame. The time frame is specified in Number of days until a not updated Oracle Middleware installation is considered to be uninstalled. |
Number of days until a not updated Oracle Middleware installation is considered to be uninstalled | The number of days until an Oracle Middleware installation is considered to be uninstalled if it has not been updated during that time frame. To automatically delete Oracle Middleware installations that are considered uninstalled, select the Delete Oracle Middleware installations considered to be uninstalled checkbox. |
Delete Java installations considered to be uninstalled | If this setting is enabled, Java installations will be deleted if they have not been updated during a specified time frame. The time frame is specified in Number of days until a not updated Java installation is considered to be uninstalled. |
Number of days until a not updated Java installation is considered to be uninstalled | The number of days until a Java installation is considered to be uninstalled if it has not been updated during that time frame. To automatically delete Java installations that are considered uninstalled, select the Delete Java installations considered to be uninstalled checkbox. |
Number of inactive days until a computer with Oracle databases is set to quarantine | The number of inactive days until the status of a computer with Oracle Databases is set to Quarantined. The status Quarantined will not affect license assignments or compliance calculations. However, the status is visible in reports so that you can decide if you want to keep or delete the computer. The status will be set to Active if a quarantined computer starts to communicate again. You can also manually change the status to Active. |
