Manage application families
Learn how to manage the application families in your Private Application Catalogue in Snow Atlas.
View application families

On the Snow Atlas settings menu, select Private Application Catalogue.

On the Private applications page, on the Custom data tab, select Families.

Select the family you want to view details for.

On the Actions menu, select View.
Search for application families

On the Snow Atlas settings menu, select Private Application Catalogue.

On the Private applications page, on the Custom data tab, select Families.

In the table header, select the funnel of the column you want to use for your search, and then do the following:

Select operator: Contains, Does not contain, Equals to, Not equals to, Starts with, Ends with, Is empty, or Is not empty.

In Filter, enter the search criterion.

Optionally, in the table header, select a column name to sort by that column. Select the column name once again to reverse the sort order.
Add application families
After creation, the new application family appears in the list on the Families tab.
You cannot add an application family with a name that already exists in the Private Application Catalogue.

On the Snow Atlas settings menu, select Private Application Catalogue.

On the Private applications page, on the Custom data tab, select Families.

Select Add.
The New family side panel appears.

In Name, enter the name of the application family.

In Manufacturer, search for and select the manufacturer of the application family. The search results appear as you enter text.

Optionally, in Description, type a description of the application family.

Select Save.

If you have selected a global manufacturer provided by the DIS and the name of the new family matches an already existing family from that manufacturer, you will be notified by a Duplicate warning where you can select to reuse the existing family. Do one of the following:

If you want to reuse the global application family:

Select Yes.

In Global families, select the family you want to reuse from the list of families of the global manufacturer, and then select Add local copy.
A local copy of the application family appears in the list on the Families tab.
You can delete the local copy from your Private Application Catalogue, but you cannot edit it.

If you do not want to reuse the global application family, but instead want to create a duplicate of the global one, select No.
A duplicate of the application family appears in the list on the Families tab.

Edit application families

On the Snow Atlas settings menu, select Private Application Catalogue.

On the Private applications page, on the Custom data tab, select Families.

Select the application family you want to edit.

On the Actions menu, select View.

Select Edit.

Add or edit the applicable information, and then select Save.
Delete manufacturers

On the Snow Atlas settings menu, select Private Application Catalogue.

On the Private applications page, on the Custom data tab, select Manufacturers.

Select the manufacturer you want to delete.

On the Actions menu, select View.

Select Delete to confirm.
